Fem the Future is a grassroots movement of people working together to advance the awareness, inclusion, and opportunities for women and those who identify as women through music, arts, mentorship, and education. Founded by award-winning music recording artist and mogul, Janelle Monáe, the initiative is aimed at creating a beautiful, optimistic future for all.
It’s a vision that Belvedere – a brand who embraces audacious beauty, natural character and the power of the collective to create and spark action – greatly shares. That’s why they decided to partner with Janelle Monáe to create the #FemtheFuture Brunch Series.
We helped Belvedere launch this vital discussion platform at the 2018 Oscars in Los Angeles.
#FemtheFuture influencers, thought leaders and mentees attended alongside prominent figures in the entertainment industry. A celebrity moderator, Alicia Quarles, led a panel discussion featuring Danai Gurira, Lena Waithe, Lacey Duke, and Stacey Smith as they discussed advancement for women in media and entertainment.
To create a communal atmosphere, we designed a warm and welcoming brunch experience that aligned with Belvedere’s natural brand aesthetic. Botanical décor, a healthy menu, and tasty Belvedere cocktails made our brunch the perfect place to conversate and share ideas.
The brunch garnered an impressive amount of attention from the media, receiving over 200 million impressions, and it successfully brought together powerful women and men for a creative and thought-provoking discussion on creating positive social action.
