City of Big Dreams
How does a small non-profit host a critical fundraising event when large gatherings are unsafe?
You stop thinking of it as an event.
That’s what we did for The Simple Good (TSG)who aims to supply Chicago’s youth with the mental health resources they desperately need. Their big dream is to help children process their emotions through the power of art, mindfulness, and positivity, creating a future generation of change makers and mindful leaders.
Introducing The City of Big Dreams Fundraising Festival: a first-of-its-kind fundraising initiative powered by ecommerce.
We overhauled their Shopify and transformed their website into an ecommerce hub and art auction house selling limited-edition merchandise curated and donated by artists and local businesses. We designed promotional social content and posted daily about the silent auction and the organization. Influencer artists also contributed, hosting live sessions on IGTV to encourage their followers to get involved. .
After four days, The Simple Good raised over $45,000, making it their most successful fundraiser to date with Shopify sales increasing by 2,803%. The festival garnered 1,600,000 impressions with our IGTV sessions going global in more than 10 countries. The Shopify platform we built is still in use today and the local artistic community we cultivated will be used by The Simple Good for years to come.
